We are running Marx Steam engines,thus no whistle.Stole this idea off of you-tube.Get ya a battery powered air mattress pump.Wire it up to a wall wart of the correct size.Tape on a wooden whistle.Works great,hidden under the layout.Neat idea,lots of fun,for very little money.I guess I'm kinda blowing my own Whistle!!

That is neat and a real air whistle. I would have never thought of that way to add a real air whistle.

Yes sir,the wooden whistle came from the the Casey Jones museum here in Jackson TN.By the way,your layout is one of the reasons that we have been inspired to put our trains back up.
