Hi, Steve.

I don't have any color photos to post here; however, John Paton wrote a great book about the C&O's BL2s. If you're interested in these units, it would definitely be a worthwhile purchase for you. In fact, the book's front cover has an artist's illustration of a BL2 wearing the original scheme. Here's the link to it on Amazon:

Hi again Steve,

Sorry  I couldn't find any interior shots of the locomotive.  Are you painting one?  Be advised that the yellow is called Venetian Yellow, and not available as such.  When Floquil was still made, you could mix it using one part Boxcar White to six parts Boxcar Yellow.  Then there's the decals....  I custom painted a number of them in S, but they were resin kits, no longer in production.  Here's the one I like running on my layout with a consist of heavyweight cars:

Folks either love 'em or hate 'em.  Personally, I like them.  They remind me of a 50's era Buick.  Not too surprising being that they were made by GM...

Thanks Bob and Jerry.  And yes Jerry, I'm going to paint one, and I do have the decals.  I think I can duplicate the yellow using scalecoat ll paint with floquils formula.  At least get very close.  I do have a full unopened bottle of enchantment blue, so I'm all set there.  Thanks again.  Steve.    By the way, your model looks great.

Steve,

Thanks on the model.  It was a resin kit that's not longer in production.  But I think I was mistaken on the formula.  The colors should be reversed, that is, one part yellow to six parts white.  I did this model at least 3 years ago and forgot the exact ratio, so  looked it up in the folder I have.  Also, the color yellow is called Erie Lackawanna Yellow.  Sorry if I misled you.  But either yellow will get you in the ballpark.  Good luck and post photos of your finished model!
