Does anyone make an O scale Chicago & Alton caboose? I want one for my smoking whistle Pacific. I want her to be a freight instead of passenger engine since most of my MTH are passenger trains.

anyone?
OI,
I don't think anybody has made a C&A caboose. Your lack of response here is probably due to so few people knowing anything about the C&A, and there's precious little available online. Usually pretty easy to get on Google and find a pic of any RR's caboose, but nothing from the Alton came up for me. Can you post a pic so the forum members can have an idea what a C&A caboose looks like? We have a lot of painting/lettering expertise here, somebody might be able to help you with a custom paint job.
I can't find one on the internet either. I was hoping for incite. I know they went under and UP took some of their route so I thought for a short while UP might have used a caboose and other rolling stock from them.
here is a link from Trainz showing a box car but that is all I could find
A number of years ago, there was a C&A caboose on display along with a GM&O F at Farber, MO next to the two story depot. I think the F unit was scrapped, I have not been up that way in years, the depot was real nice, don't rember the caboose condition.

PS; link to depot photo, does not look like caboose is there in 2010!
digging a little further, another site has a wider photo, the caboose still exsist in 2010! When I saw it years ago, it had C&A markings. Dan
Link to a lot of GM&O sites which have some C&A image. Dan

If you persue the Baltimore and Ohio link there would be additional cabs that would have roamed the rails. It's unfortunate there are very few pictures. I would think most likely you are looking for a wood caboose. The GM&O link above showed several wood cabs but no C&A markings.
I believe I have a couple or 3 photos. I will check later today and let you know.

thanks all. I like the links. Maybe somebody wll some day make a C & A caboose. I may go ahead and buy the box car at least to have some rollong stock that matches the engine.
