See http://www.marchmeet.net/ for updates.

We added prototype tours to our venue again for the 2013 show.

Illinois Railway Museum and Chicago's famous Union Station are again on the agenda for this years O Scale Meet. There is also a possibility of another tour so check back on the site.

My layout will be open for the first time this year. Still much to do but the trains do run.

Details in the meet pack or contact me for directions.

Dan,

I will be driving in from St. Louis early that Saturday. I am not too familar with the region either so I want to ask if there is generally any heavy traffic to contend with in the area early Saturday? I'm really looking forward to the event regardless.

Thanks again for the info.

John

Yes, I was in the hospital for a week with very, very bad pneumonia. I'm home but I can't travel. Jeb and Nancy Kriigel will be my eyes and ears at the show. They'll have magazines and books for sales. If you need to renew, they can handle it. Stop by and say "Hi!".

I've urged Melissa to have a judged contest and have recommended judging staff. Ultimately, it's their call as to what kind of contest they'll have.

Most of you guys I will see at the April Strasburg meet.

I am in a similar problem, i land at 8AM from MSP at MDW saturday am. planned to use CTA/Metra.

Hi Guys,

For those who will be attending the March Meet; could someone attending the clinics that are being scheduled there report back on them?  Would greatly appreciate any information that will be presented.  The one on radio control sounds very interesting.  And the one one equalization is being given by Tad Daito.  He's from Japan and is very knowledgeable on Japanese imported models from the past.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Been there, done that....did not find many structure kits to my liking (except for one

mine frame), but did find chimneys for structures that I was looking for...although not

from Tichy or Grandtline, or Keilline (who had none) , but from the guy in Paris, Kentucky, who had four different varieties of "brick" chimneys cast in metal, so I stocked up.  Price was right, too.  Found a Spec-Cast truck in REA, which means it is useable, and doesn't have to be repainted, like many with some beer or tractor brand slathered on them.  I'd say even if you're in three rail, and you want parts, decals, or kits, and you live within a days' drive of Chicago, you should show up for this tomorrow.  You won't find this stuff in your local LHS, who are into N and HO.  I didn't find chimneys in either of the "O oriented" Chicago shops I hit Friday.  I just wish they

held this show twice a year like York, or that there were more O scale shows.
