Well, its beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the New York area. We've got a little bit of snow north of NYC and we're expecting even colder weather toward the end of the week. But what's really looking a lot like Christmas were the crates I saw today outside of the Metro North store at Grand Central station which were stamped LIONEL and TW (Trainworx) on the side. There were lots of crates. So many in fact that it made it difficult to go inside.
But I was determined to go inside, so I did. And there, sitting at his workbench was Santa, who looked a lot like Roger Farkash. Santa was hard at work on the Grand Central Lionel layout. Now the last time I saw Roger at a work site was when he delivered the fabulous Empire State building to the NJ HiRailers with his giant elf, Mike Reagan. This time no Mike Reagan, but a number of elves. So I think that we will have a layout to view at Grand Central before too long. Thank you Santa!
