Below: N&W #611 captured during two of her final, best & last performances from 1994. Eastbound thru the Rural Retreat/Crockett, VA area as well as her last climb of Christiansburg Mountain Grade west of Shawsville, VA (Use your imagination).

The video from Rural Retreat is courtesy of the Ratcliffe Brothers, both long term N&W/NS employees. One of their sons (Brian) served as a fireman with the NS Steam Program and was firing on this day. The audio track with the Christiansburg Mountain Grade segment is courtesy of Jim Gunning. The still photos were captured by Bob Lyndall, who edited this video. The still photos in the final four minutes, the Christmas Medley, are presented courtesy of the respective photographers who's names appear on the photos.

This video was produced with absolutely no commercial value in mind or the intent to receive any compensation for same. You should note that I have injected a good deal of artistic license in editing this video.
