Need some ideas on making a string of Christmas lights for a mobile home park. I'd like to power them off a DC power supply. Any ideas on how I can make this? Thanks Guys!

Contact Evans Designs. They can fill this request.
Brian,
Check out forum sponsor, Evan Designs, link above. Look under Hobby LED's / Even More LED's / Colored Light String. They have in 12 or 26 light strings. They operate on 3V DC though.

Those are perfect. Just what I had in mind. Thanks!
Another question. I'd like to run them off my DC power supply so they come on with all the other layout lights. What can buy/build to bring the power down to the 3 volts needed to run these lights?

One alternative is a 99 cent shipping included DC-to-DC converter module off eBay but from Asia so it takes a couple weeks (search "LM2596 module"). You'll need a voltmeter to set the output to 3V. Here's a re-cycled photo with incorrect voltage labels for your application but you get the idea...

Oh, if you don't have a voltmeter, check the Sunday Oregonian coupon inserts for the Harbor Freight page. Here's the FREE voltmeter (no purchase required) shown in action below on a LM2596 module set to 3V DC. The just-opened Harbor Freight in Tigard on 99 has these free items conveniently located on the back-left side of the store. And while I'm always buying something they don't seem to give people a hard time that just come in for the free item.
