My sweetheart spent some time on the final layout piece. I removed the models and turned her loose with a paint brush.

She did a good job,
Beautiful job! The backdrop, not the fingers, I mean.
Mike,
That is a great Christmas present. She did an excellent job.

wow
your sweetheart is a really good artist and that backdrop will tie in the foreground scenery really well
Beautiful. A lot of talent there.
That is an Awesome backdrop!
Thanks all, for the comments, I'll pass them on to my sweetheart. She used some pictures we took in Great Smokey Mountain National Park, Tennessee/North Carolina, as a reference.
I like those pictures. Great area of the world. Being near home, we visit a lot. Good inspiration for a lot of things.
Great Smoky Mountain National Park may get more visitors than any other national park because of its location to several Eastern population centers. Over 9 million a year for the last 5 years. Then there's that 2 hr. and 15 min average stay thing. Pictures are of a place call Charlie's Bunyan on the Appalachian Trail several miles from our access point Newfound Gap. One of the few sections of the Appalachian Mts. that are over 6,000 ft. Most unique feature of this eastern National park is a remote hidden community, Cades Cove. A lot of modeling ideas at Cades Cove. IMO
Just outstanding work, Mike. You sure do have a sweetheart in many ways.
Thank you, She has hiked the Grand Canyon with me (3) times. This was a great eastern adventure in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.
She also did a (5) day adventure with me on the Long Trail/Appalachian trail in Vermont several years ago.
Great job MIKE!!!! Like you, me and my WIFEY have done numerous hikes. We did Kings canyon for our honeymoon of 125 miles, but one of our favorites was Skyline drive on the AT from Rockfish to Front Royal about 105 miles. Nice with lots of vistas. We gotta check out The Smokeys now that you posted these pics. Thanks.
Mike your better half did a great job. Any time you want to "hike" to the Midwest and try painting it on my backdrops, I will get the drop cloths ready and the refreshments. It's super that you two can share so many activities.

Mike CT,
Beautiful work by a beautiful lady, and the Great Smokey Mountains are fantastic,
almost as beautiful as our Pa Grand Canyon, and man that is really saying something!
If I had to pick another place to live it would be in those mountains, except for the lean Grouse population it's almost an identical mountain.
