Hello all, I have a MTH 20-20817-1 that was purchased last fall brand new with PS-3. This morning I was checking the chronometer and the odometer on several of my engines and it says that this engine has 36,645 miles and a chronometer of close to 60 hours. If this is true that means this engine has been running at 610 miles per hour for 60 hours. Does anyone else have an engine that will run that fast or maybe something wrong with the odometer? I think the hours are right but the odometer just might be off. I did try a factory reset but no change. Any ideas how to correct the miles? Thanks

I don't believe you can correct it. There were posts before ( a good while back) about an issue like this. Something went haywire and caused bad read outs.
I think I discovered on some proto 2 units where I had this problem that it may have been impacted when running at lower than 18 volts.
If you by chance are doing that, try again with the voltage closer to 18. May not make a difference, but it's worth a try.

C'mon haven't you ever watched Ferris Bueller? Put it up on blocks and run it in reverse :-)
Bueller? Bueller??

Just don't touch it while its running! ROTFLOL
I have several PS3 engine that have this error. One has about 16 hours with about 157,000 miles. It is a blur going around the track. I think it was Superman's personal ride.
Others have had this happen as well. Some kind of glitch on the MTH board. Mine were all new so had no miles or time when purchased. My other new PS3 engines are ok though.
Try a factory reset with the remote. This will remove the engine from your remote. Re-enter the engine and then check the odometer and chrono.
I had a MTH PS2 decapod that had the same issue. I did the reset and it was fine after that...

All right, thanks for your suggestions. Here is what I have done.
I did an “engine factory reset” and an “engine features reset”, no change in readings both were done with remote.
Put it on blocks and ran backwards, just added miles and time. Ha ha.
I also ran it for 15 minutes at 20 mph to test the accuracy and it added 5 miles and 20 minutes to the program.
So I guess it is what it is.
Thanks Arnold
