Churches, Synagogues & Other Places of Worship

I have 2 churches:

this one my father bought way back in 1950 which has been part of the 'family train' setup every year since. cardboard houses, church fence, and manger in back are all part of what Dad bought back then.

another scene of it from a different year:  When I was old enough to add scenery, we really didn't have anything so I put my toy cowboys and indians in a scene.  So I included those here too.

My 2nd one I bought.  It's the Plasticville one.  I painted it up, added "stained glass windows", and lit it inside:

My wife assembled "The Church of the Right Track" out of paper from an internet download. However one side was really bad-looking. So I downloaded it and did it right. I put them next to each other, and when people asked why there were two of them I explained that they had a church split.

Have plans to add details, as yet, not materialized.  Sorry, don't have a better view at the moment.  Church is a Marx/Kline building.

In case you need ideas, l once did a photo trip of Indiana country churches down along the Ohio, and can suggest that.  As for the church in a machine shop, in the first three grades in school l attended a Baptist Church that leased the first floor auditorium of a lodge hall.  That church later bought the four classroom (3 were used) grade school l attended  for those 3 grades, and modiified it greatly, and it functions today.  So, anything goes?

Colorado, I agree.  Our old high school, where my grandparents, parents, and many aunts and uncles went to is now a church.  I attended 5th and 6th grades in that building, before moving to the then new, but now well over 50 years old Jr-Sr High School.  I have not seen the inside of the 100-year old high school since the church bought it, but they have done a nice job maintaining the exterior as I remember it a half century ago.  

I have a nice little Dept. 56 Church, set up in my residential area. It has very tranquil stained-glass windows. It has a neat O-scale Nativity scene that attaches to the main power cord via a narrow wire, such that the star lights.

Super, Paul!!  I need to dig out the great church my wife bought, congregation singing inside and a nativity attached on the side.

Vincent, the Church of the Right Track and the Church of the Left Track look great. Do you happen to recall the internet site you accessed? I would like to make something like that.

Is the guy laying on the ground in front of the bench alright?  Looks like the lady sitting their has just said or done something to drop him.

You are probably right Tom, I think he was getting frisky with her after having too much liquid enjoyment prior to the ceremony
