Well, after running my MTH Railking CSX train I have noticed a few screw ups on my part. One after reading from some members and instructions on the train i was told simply make sure you have smoke fluid in the engine. So during the summer months I used to have my dehumidifier on, so what I would do is put 20 drops of the fluid in, thinking that the unit would dry out. Well now I am noticing that there is a greasy substance on the bottom of the locomotive. So then I got to realizing that A) I have dirty tracks because I have somehow over filled the smoke unit. B) I now have to clean the loco & C) I dont know what is the best way! So if anybody can offer advise? My ears are open! Also I noticed my tracks are also dirty now. So I imagine that I need a decent cleaning on all that is running. Thanks for all your help!!!

If you're overfilled the smoke unit to the point that it's coming out the bottom, I'd recommend you take the shell off and clean it up. Depending on the specific locomotive, that may affect the electronics at some point.
If you don't feel you can remove the shell without damage, I'd suggest taking it to someone.
I clean track with either 91% Isopropyl Alcohol and a rag or my Trackman 2000 track cleaning car with a Scotchbrite pad on it. For a lot of oil, I recommend the alcohol.

It's usually just messy, but I've had a couple where the boards got soaked and quit. I've had others where the boards were soaked and they worked fine, so I just hosed them off with alcohol.
What's the specific model you have? Taking the shell off is frequently just four or six screws and lift it off for many RailKing diesels, very simple.
Here is what I did after pouring fluid, in. I wanted a lot of smoke, my units
wont leak over: Well, yes they will and after calling my self an idiot: wipe off
the bottom of speaker, a couple times: I kept running till smoke was about done:
Flipped it over to take screws off, of course wipe off some more. Eased the cover off: and began wipe off some more with Kleenex, dries up eventually, begin thinking about the $270.00 just spent: and then start. went over everything either
Kleenex or q- tip, I made sure I did not touch any boards. Give it a check, with top
off, and see if lights and fan motors come on, take back and go over again, Yes it is possible to get the substance off of wiring, with cleaner. let sit over night, took
speaker housing off , oh my gosh what a mess. did same thing, 1/2 box Kleenex,
paper towels, few prayers and vow to never pour again. 2 days of thought torture
