Hey gang.......
As most of u know...My objective has always been to have a large selection of nice stuff available for operators.
Back in the train show days, we also carried some semi-scale stuff ...mostly MTH Railking and Atlas O Industrial rail. Since we stopped doing train shows years ago, this semi scale stuff has just been sitting, and it time to move it on. Its just not part of our core business.
So im starting to put more things in the Case lots and clearance category of the website. There are about 20 things there now, with more to come. This is really targeted to those who sell at local train shows, or repaint, or need a qty of cars for a train club or something.
Some of the railking semi-scale has been marked down slightly....this stuff is more difficult to deal with because some railking is full scale size, and fits into our wheelhouse. Some Railking is actually in demand too (mostly branded things) , so im honestly not looking to unload those things.....but run-of-the-mill semi-scale gondolas/box cars/reefers, etc....I'll be selling of what we have, but not replacing the railking semi-scale stock.
Well be sending out an email to our subscribers in about a week with Railking Semi-scale for sale.
Lionel sale items.....Lionel has been clearing out some things recently. We picked up a pallets worth...Full o scale sized things only. A lot of it was Traditional sized Lionel and AF. I havent made a big stink about the things that are at a lower price...but they are on the website... Its mostly 18" passenger cars that were retailing for 200. a car and we are selling at 30-40% off that..ie...closer to what I personally think they are reasonably worth.
Also as a former big Weaver dealer, I bought up a lot of the former Weaver 60' baggage and RPO cars. They had a retail price for $180 to $200 a car...so we are finally able to sell some of them at 35% off retail or so. Not at old Weaver prices., but more in line with what other head end cars cost.
Bone Yard.....Over the years, quite of bit of used stuff has piled up.....mostly engines. There is no bone yard on the web yet, but Im going to try to put up 5 pieces a week. All of this will be checked to see if it basically runs, but thats it. Im going to try to make the stuff reasonably cheap...
I'll see how all this goes. If not much interest, I'll ship everything off to an auction.
Dealer inquiries welcome.
