I've heard of kids deflating their tires about half way on vehicles that the tires line up with the rails and will go for a joy ride from one crossing to another with their hands off the steering wheel. Apparently the car will follow the tracks. I wondered if that is why he wanted a picture. Maybe in order to show his friends his car lines up.
