Sorry I didn't know you were out this way...I'm in Southampton for the current time (returning to 90* and 100% Humidity Washington DC tomorrow) and would've come out and taken you to lunch. 

nice shots Alex. while you are there hit the "Elbow Room" for the best porterhouse steaks on the island. we used to make the trip at least once a month from Brooklyn, that is how good they are.

Thanks for the pics Alex. To add to Steve's suggestion, I would also like to mention the marinated filet mignon at the Rendezvous in Riverhead. I believe they are the same owners as the Elbow Room.

SJC, wow what a small world, we were right near each other. Thank you for the invite,

it would have been nice to get together for a bite and talk trains.

 

JohnS and Andy thanks for the kind word's. My brother in law mentioned these places and said the same thing you guy's said. We go out there twice a year, so next time out we will try these place's.

 

Chris it was amazing to me, there was no fences, sign's, and no one around watching anything. I was able to walk all over the area and no one bothered me. Unless they had security camera's and saw I was just enjoying the trains.

I guess you could get so close to the trains is because, they don't think any terrorists are gonna go that far out on Long Island!! Lol!
