Club setup at Concordia Catered Living

The Sugarcreek Model RR club setup some of our and members trains for the Concordia Health and Catered Living Center in Bella Vista Arkansas Saturday. This is a yearly Car Show and Train Display plus other things for the poeple living at the center.

For the record, I got my first Lionels in 1967, and my first Aurora Thunderjet 500 set in 1968, so I've been a slot car enthusiast for nearly as long. 

The slot cars went over very well; I may incorporate them into future train show displays...

I wouldn’t worry about Mitch painting cars - red is a common color for cars… no so much train engines

Excellent setup!  Great to show trains and slot cars both.  Keith, thank you for showing Mitch and everyone else there.

Mark, I have fun at these showings but at the end of the day I'm tired and ready to go home.  I should have took more pictures.

Today I'm off to the solar eclipse with my daughter, just have to go southeast a few miles.

A wisenheimer on another forum suggested I add third rail shoes!

I had Aurora HO and l the later AFX cars and tracks. Got them right around the same time as you. I think I played with them as much as my trains. My best friend and I used to combine our track and make one big track and race for hours.

Always fought over who was gonna get the outside lane......good memories.

I remember as a lad spending hours with graph paper designing tracks!  Always tried to have equal inside and outside curves for both lanes...

It was great, I did not get any good pictures of it.  It got dark and the temperure dropped about 10 to 15 degrees.

Guys...While the slot cars are nice and can be used with the trains...how about some TRAIN pictures from this meet.  This thread has turned into a slot car discussion.
