I'm looking at coal loading, unloading elevator and other access like #97, #397 --- you folks that have coal accessories which ones would you recommend that are the best/better operating?

all the Lionel "97's" are cool (97, 397, 497) You can load with the 97, roll the dump cars to the 497, dump the coal in the tray. Then operate the 497 coaling station to unload into another car and roll it right back againto the 97.....great fun imo
We have the MTH 30-9158. Works well and doesn’t make a huge mess. We use Fastrack, so we did have to get two transition pieces and some tubular track as the Fastrack will not fit, but it is a fun accessory that kids (and adults) like. We just use the controller for it rather than hooking it up to our Lionel LCS.

Nicely done. I hadn't noticed that it is a 97 Coal Elevator, until Dennis pointed it out.
