I doubt, or it will be very bumpy.... Only fine-scale may be able to run on Code 100.
Yves
Yves,
I have an old Riverossi 0-8-0 that I would like to run and have seen code 100 rail at train shows for cheap. Was just a thought....
Rick.
1. Measure the flange.
2. Two dimes are close enough to .100" to check the flange...take into account spikes.
3. I would be happy to snail mail a piece of code 100 rail (not track) to you.

NMRA RP25 standard flange depth:
Code 175 wheels (Old standard tread width) have tread depth of .045", leaving .055" for spikes
Code 145 wheels (new standard tread width) have tread depth of .036", leaving .064" for spikes
ChipR
Old Goat,
No need to do that, but many thanks..and for the link...good sight.
ChipR,
Good info, thanks.
Rick.
Railroad-guy,
Hummmm...any chance for a photo? I need a mental picture now.....
Rick.
Dan,
That looks great, I really need to stop thinking this way. A recent artical in OGR about a two rail layout with only two locomotives started the down hill slide. Not to mention looking at Brother Love's cabooses. If I do go with some two rail it will be small and simple....by virtue of space.
Now how about more photo's? (-:
Rick.
Rick,
I have one of these old 0-8-0 from Rivarossi. It runs very nicely but I believe the flanges are much bigger than what RDSRR is showing.
Try it. Get yourself a meter long piece of rails and see if that 0-8-0 will run on it.
Yves
Yves,
I took possesion of two pieces of code 100 rail last night, I plan to spike them down and give it a whirl.

Looking for 2 rail inspiration Rick? Maybe this would help.

Railroad-guy,
Thanks for the photos showing your yard and Yoder's cars. WOW; that Santa Fe boxcar looks fantastic!
What are you using for tie plates and spikes for your code 100 rail? That is hand laid track, correct?
And what trucks and wheel sets are you using under that Santa Fe boxcar?
Thanks in advance,
Steve
All my yard track shown is code 100 Micro Engineering flex track. I do hand lay my switches but every thing else is ME flex.
Those cars were Rich's demo cars I just took pix of when he stopped by on Friday. So they are his trucks that come with that car.
A few more pix of the yards. The first shows an Atlas combine with an NJ International RS-1. The other is an over all view. The tracks on the far left are the code 125 mains while the yards are 100. Again, all ME flex.
Thanks railroad-guy
Go head Rick!
Andre.
Traditional standard fullheight of HO rail is .100"
