Colgate was once located in Jersey City, NJ. One of the main warehouses was home to the largest clock and the famous rooftop billboard sign. That warehouse, early on, was serviced by rail. Did Colgate ever have their own fleet of woodsided boxcars? If so, where do I find pictures and color specifications?

Doug - possibly the Jersey City Historical Society might have something or point you toward a CP resource

Doug? Jeez never thought I'd see or hear from my old trainmaster leader again. How are you?
I'd recommend finding someone with early Official Railway Equipment Registers and seeing if Colgate had any private owner cars. I can't recall seeing any wood side reefers nor do I remember any Clover House decals for any.
On another subject, i always loved the huge spidery rooftop sign frames that you often see throughout "Norf Jersey" and "Nork".
