Any source for dark yellow for Atlas PFE reefers? I tried adding a little orange to yellow- not close. I looked at the Scalecoat chart yellows but none seam to match! Any ideas? Don

I believe that PFE painted their refers Armor Yellow. Yellow is a primary color, there is nothing you can mix together to make yellow.
I have yellow , just need to make a little darker! What to add?

You can add Tuscan or brown, a few drops at a time. That will get it to match closely.
There are three changes you can make to yellow. Blue can be added to make it greener or red can be added to make it oranger. Black or white can be added to darken or lighten it. In your care I think you need to increase the chroma. This is to make the yellow a more intense yellow. This can only be done by adding a more intense yellow pigment.
Maybe try an art supply store and look at the tubes of paints used in making oil paintings. You should be able to fine a very intense yellow, which will increase the chroma of the paint you have. Make sure the artist paint system is compatible with the paint you have.
Are you modeling a fresh from the factory car or one which has been in transcontinental service for several years? John
Bought several new Atlas shells and was going to completely strip paint. The colors are exactly the same as Great Northern so just need to replace the logo !
