If anyone has a set of the Texas Special cars, are they painted white or silver? The photos on the website make them look white, but the text says silver. And if you have a photo, that would be great. Thank you

Chris Dunn...The RMT Texas Special streamline passenger cars are painted silver and red...just like the 'real' ones (although not stainless steel but silver paint).
The cars are prototypicaly lettered for the SL-SF version along with Frisco car names that do not duplicate the previous KLINE production of this train.
By the way, these RMT cars are currently on sale for $59.99 for a 2-car set...baggage + coach or dome + observation.
Thanks.

Thanks for the information, Walter. To my eyes, the photos you posted look like white, but your report clears that up.
C. Sam, those look great, and seem to be a better match for the Lionel 2245 F3s or even the cheapo Alcos. I suppose, however, that may only be true because the engines should be silver, not white.
Chris
Yes Chris, I very much like the Lionel 'fantacy' red and white scheme of their 2245s. We are receiving the RK Scale Texas Special F3s this week and I wish I still had those cars! I'll have to make do with an 8 car set of the handsome 60' RK silver streamliners in Santa Fe lettering.
I have a full set of the RMT Texas Special cars & ABA Beef engines, which I upgraded to ERR command control. Great looking set, very good colors. I also have the K-Line 18" streamline set with the GGD E7's and for the price RMT did a great job.
