Hi Mark:
I am looking forward to Alice !!!
Thanks in advance !!'
Thanks Ron.
#99001 was used to clean up the tragic wreck of northbound passenger train #29 (from memory) and a southbound freight. The accident took the life of the passenger train engineer (long service - worked on the South Park narrow gauge when first hired on). This wreck plus an additional wreck up in Wyoming took about seven diesels out of service, forcing the C&S to beg CB&Q HQ in Chicago for more motive power. They sent out five O1a 2-8-2's. All of this prolonged C&S steam operation into the early Spring of 1959.

This one is very beautiful I thank Overland models did this models the one I have you know the UP version but the one you have is more detail inside.
Ed - I will bet the detail is in your Union Pacific crane, just hidden behind steel weather protection covering. The open cranes typically had a canvas curtain to protect crews in harsh winter conditions.
Dear Mark, yes but yours is more open I like that one to Overland did a great job.
Edwin: A detail not seen in our photos is the operation of the Overland crane. The big gear turns, the piston/drive rod flails and the flywheel, well, "flies". Then the crane moves on it's own. Pretty neat to witness !!
