Hi guys, gals, fellow train fans,
Been enjoying the hobby with the camera. Some recent takes of the Rocky Mountaineer on the east side of the Divide. Hope you enjoy them and have a great weekend.

Well done! I did the Vancouver to Banff trip this spring and it was incredible! I do want to do that trip as well in the coming years. Nice to see RM painted power as well. Kicking myself for not getting the MTH set a few years ago.

Beautiful train and scenery. Great pix.
Thanks guys
Great photos as always Erik. Interesting to see that the US version of the Rocky Mountaineer is now running GP40-2s now also like their Canadian counterparts.

Thanks Jonathan,

This is RMRX 8021 it’s mate I’ll dig on this one now. I like the sound they make, so gone from North American mainline railroading that classic EMD sound and they run them in Notch 8 like F40PHs. I can hear ‘‘em coming from 4 miles away in the canyons in and out of the tunnels last time I was blessed with that was with Anshutz Ski Train. They run one more week and done for the season. Leave leave Denver Wednesday and Sunday at 0900 and Return Friday and Tuesday from GJ.
Thanks for the beautiful pictures and the history of the engines. We did the Banff to Vancouver in 2019 and looking forward to our scheduled Denver to Moab next year. Your pictures get me excited for the trip.
Erik, you make the hike up that mountain worth while with your pictures.
Thanks Coach! 👍👍
