I have been considering this question for a while and I want to know what others do...I am putting up a catenary system and have a couple of these engines..Want to know, since the patograph is the antenna for these engines, and you want to run off the over head, wouldn't the cat wire short the command siganl or fry the board??  I can see one possible way of over coming the signal reception and that would be to dedicate the rear pan to run off the over head and the front pan be the antenna...What would you do or have done already???

I did not think that both pantographs were used.

Yep, finding the plastic metric screws may be a trick, but I have to believe they're available. Maybe someone in the forum here has a source, I'd like to find a few as well.

FWIW, I use Kapton tape to isolate shells, it's really thin and tough, so it doesn't affect the fit of the shell.

Who's engine are we talking about?  I think the MTH stuff actually has SAE screws, much to my surprise.  I've floated several MTH tender shells, and my standard SAE plastic screws worked perfectly.
