Well Sue & I completed the deconstruction of Main St. East yesterday. We are making great progress on the tearing down & flipping the plywood over. There's no way I would have accomplished all of this without her help. I was also just playing around a little with the 120" curved Ross Track. "WHEW" those are wide. It looks like I'm going to need 2 liftouts as @ age 70 I don't want any duckunders.

Progress is daily, keep up the good work.
How big is your basement? Looks like an Arena!

Spence, you have really accomplished a lot of tearing up in a short time. At this pace you will be pretty far along with the new layout by the end of the year. Keep the progress coming reports........................Paul
The 120's will sure chew up some real estate. But with the size of your basement, Spence, no worries.
Great to see your progress.

Hi,
Where did you purchase the UPS trucks?
Thanks, John
Hi,
Where did you purchase the UPS trucks? Mostly Ebay.
Thanks, John
Quite the job, Spence. Good to see you can keep at it.
ok, Sue is a keeper...and I still can't believe how much more space you have with each deconstruction update. I'm sincerely jealous! You're doing great Spence, keep it going! Terry
Terry; your right, she is a keeper. We've been together 14 years & the good part is she loves trains.
With all of those UPS trucks, you can ship most of it to Hawaii, start construction there, and ship it back home when you leave.
Four months in Hawaii! Hope that you have scheduled some fishing time in Kona. Let me know if you want an excellent boat to fish on; I know several and can put you in touch.

Spence! Somehow, along the way, I had not understood how vast your layout was/is, which is certainly more discernible in these shots when one includes the background miniature world along with the foreground naked plywood in a consideration of overall square footage!. Congratulations on having the oomph and stamina to undertake such a project at the age you said you are. However, I must admit, that I did change large areas of Moon Township, not too long ago, but would not undertake such changes again, and certainly not as extensively as yours.
Nice work. Just goes to prove what we have seen here time after time; a layout is never complete. Improvement seem to be an integral part of the layout building process. After 13 years in construction I should be putting the final touches on my layout this winter season, save for a bit of extra work to replace ceiling panels due to a big spill caused by a clogged drain on the first floor. After that the improvements will be slow. My hats off to you Spence for your unwavering dedication to modifications and rebuilding.
Thank you everyone for the positive comments. I'll try to take a video in the next couple of days of what the "layout" looks like now.
