Can anyone point me to a comprehensive demonstration of Lionel's LCS?
I put my layout plans on the shelf a few years ago, and kind of stepped away from the hobby. Meanwhile I know that Lionel has added sensor tracks, electronic modules, coal and water levels on locomotives, etc. So what does the finished product do when it's all put together and operating as an integrated system, especially for someone who is interested in realistic operation? I'm hoping there's a Lionel factory demo, or a video made by someone in this community that showcases all the best features of the system at the present time.
The idea of a (mostly) self-operating layout intrigues me. Honestly, something like LCS is the best reason I can think of to go with a "command base"-type system and not direct R/C such as Lionchief Plus.
Finally... does anyone know whether the LCS modules support any degree of randomization? In other words... visitors could watch your layout for a while and the operating sequence wouldn't always be the same. A different loco might start up or follow a different route, different crew talk, etc. @Dave Olson Thanks!!
