Having retuned recently to the forum after a long absence I was surprised to see the number of compressed/distorted photos. What causes this? Seems a shame to have some really nice pictures end up this way.

I's a browser issue. You need to be running Internet Explorer 9 or Mozilla Firefox.

I noticed that also, and went back to Photo Bucket. I find posting photos easier and the photos come out looking much nicer when linked. LJ

Thanks Rusty but I don't think it's a browser issue. I don't have this problem on other forums and only on the weekend photos on this forum. Right now the only distorted pics on the weekend shots are the 1st set posted by Christopher 20. Very strange.
Just passing on what the moderators told me when the new forum format went live.
The scrunching problem disappeared when I switched to Mozilla at home and the IT dept at work switched to IE9.

Thanks Rusty. I don't like Mozilla but I'll give it a try.
Thanks Rusty. I switched back to Mozilla and problem solved.
Wild Mary. First off: Glad you resolved it.
But this was a well-discussed and well-known issue when the new forum was introduced.
