Here is a project I just completed during this first week of the new year. I used some techniques that I never tried before. I rarely use foam but for the embankments next to the bridge, they worked well since I had to make the concrete look deteriorated. I also always paint the foam with latex paint so I can spray it without melting it. In this case, I even used the latex on the styrene bridge. Maybe I will throw away my spray cans.

Thank you for the challenge David.20210104_19152620210107_18440420210107_19023620210108_13440220210108_13310920210108_13593820210108_13594720210108_13595620210108_14000020210108_14003820210108_140043

As one bridge troll to another, excellent work! I never thought about using foam for the trim components, but I like how it turned out. Latex paint is a good idea, especially exterior flat.

For the adobe/stucco look, you can throw some fine sand on the first coat of paint while it's wet, shake off what didn't stick, then paint it with another coat after the first coat dries.
