Connecting MTH Scaletrax sections | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I love O for my failing eyes but I'm having the hardest time connecting two sections of Scaletrax together. I try lining it up and I get part connected but never both sides. The shop owner couldn't get it together but said he heard there was a "trick" or certain way to do it

So...how do you do it?

I might be answering a different question, but if you are having trouble getting the pieces to click together, it is helpful to use needle nose pliers to pull the tie sections together between the center rail and the outer rails.

Needle nose all the way!

But....be gentle and also close them slowly.
