Hi,

My layout is mostly Williams by Bachmann EZ Track, but they don't make switches. I have several Lionel 022 and 23010 switches that work, but how can I connect them without buying the expensive adapter tracks? I'm pretty good with crafts and making workarounds, but a little stumped by this.

Thanks for any help.

I do own some WBB EZ Track but haven't tried mating it with other track. With tubular track, of course, you'll need a roadbed to raise it to the EZT height. The EZ Track has paper-thin connectors unlike the round mating pins  with tubular track. Could you open up the tubular track's holes to accept both pins?

BTW, I no longer need my WBB EZ Track. I received some with a WBB set and then added a few pieces, but have abandoned it and the large Christmas layout I had planned.  Please email me (see my profile) if you'd be interested in buying my EZ Track.

You can experiment with shimming up the ezstreets and aligning it with the tubular, then securing the whole mess so that they never move. You would then have to jumper all three rails.

However, I am a bit confused, as I have D-21 turnouts for EZStreets from WBB. If it is no longer available, try The Train Room, as  I saw some on the shelf there a week or so ago.

I think someone is confusing EZ-Track with EZ Streets. Original poster is talking about a Fastrack-style rails mounted atop molded crossties/ballast (like AtlasO's Industrial Rail system).

For the most part, the least fussy way of joining the systems is to use whatever adapters they have to connect to tubular track, using them as a bridge between differing track systems.

Thanks to all of you for the helpful replies. I can sacrifice a track section, like Carl suggested, to get it and the O gauge jamb up, and will look for adapter pins online.

For making a shorter section of EZ Track, I cut out the middle and rejoined the ends (using cut-off bright finishing nails for pins) to end up with the shorter section. With just a little filing and reaming, this worked great.

I just joined this OGR group yesterday, and really appreciate the helpful replies.
