Answer to the first question is yes.

Second, I looped scrap wires around the terminals to provide power and ground to all the terminals. This terminal strip gets its power and ground from another terminal.

Ok so on # 2, if I am using say,a 6 port TS and only using 2, I still have to apply wire to each remaining not used ports for continuity?

No, I just added those for future use. Once you fasten the TS to the benchwork, they're a pain to loop the wires. i.e back, knees etc...

Radio Shack also sells the connector plates to connect all the terminals from the same side of the terminal strip together. (forgot what they call them) It does the same thing as FatBoy running the wires, it's just easier if you don't mind spending a few extra bucks.

MTH sells Terminal Blocks in 12 and 24 positions.

These are internally wired so you put in power at the end terminals and every pair is powered for use. + down one side - down the other.

I have a couple of the 12 pair sets, they work well and are easily mounted to the benchwork.

Handy for our type of wiring.

which I am already using and then following accessory instructions to hook up to my AIU and it is working.

Hi all,

I am some what confused here with my issue, I think the basic question here is, how do you get power to a radio shack terminal strip when 3 terminal ports are wired for 3 accessories( yard lamps). This is a 4 port terminal strip and an AIU is inline to activate the 3 yard lights.

Ok reviewing the above photo from Fatboy, am I suppose to place a thin piece of wire from one terminal to the other??

Yes, my TS's have a nut and washer fastners so I just loop them at the base and the nut holds the wire in place.

I make the wire long enough to loop through all 3 in one shot. I snip off the excess wire.
