I am in the process of building a new layout with six separate loops. I am confused as to what the best control system to use. I have MTH locos, Lionel locos with TMCC, Legacy and the old mechanical "E" unit, Atlas, Williams and Weaver Locos. Any sugestions would be appreciated.

Well, what I would do is, if you have more than 3 legacy engines, would be to use dcs to run everything except legacy. Then get a legacy system to unlock the best features on your legacy engines. Just a thought...
Get a Legacy and a DCS system and enjoy both. You still have to buy Lionel equipment to run your TMCC engines with DCS, so just get Legacy and be done with it. Legacy will run TMCC engines as it comes. If you have any Legacy engines, you will probably end up with it sooner or later anyway. You can run your conventional engines with DCS as it comes or purchase extra equipment and run conventional with Legacy also.
