I just purchased a load of new Fast Track and am starting to build my new layout . This is the first time I am using Fast Track (kind of pricey, but nice). This new layout will be totally Legacy controlled. My question is, the conventional controllers are already hard-wired to the switches. I intend to remove them as the Command switches are advertised as "wireless". Anybody on the forum have any experience with these switches in the Legacy/CC environment?

Yes, I have.   It's not hard.  Just turn the switch over and you'll see where you need to go to detach the wires.   I have a set of small screw drivers I use just for things like this.

These switches do not need the controllers connected to operate.  I have a section with two automatic reverse loops where I removed the controllers from non-tmcc Fastrack switches and simply use the auto-derailing feature on them.

My newer TMCC Fastrack switches have been great.

Rich Ashton,

I am using the Command Control switches on my FT layout, and wireless does not mean you need to remove the manual controllers, on all your switches.  The FT CC switches are low voltage and will run perfectly off track power, using no wires.  I use the lighted/numbered manual controllers track side, located beside each switch, to identify the switch number immediately, for operating the switches with the Cab2.  Switch operational control will come from your Legacy Cab2 remote control.  Read and follow the instructions that come with your switches, and program them to the Cab2.  The FT CC switches work great all the time.
