I recently upgraded a RK Protosound 1 0-8-0 locomotive to command control but I want the smoke to puff. Does anyone have a suggestion for a smoke unit that can be changed out to do this?

Hard to believe you've missed all the threads about this. 
For chuffing smoke you can add the Super-Chuffer, and if you want 4-chuffs/rev, the Chuff-Generator is a good option.
I am assuming you're doing TMCC, if you upgraded to PS2/3, you should have gotten chuffing smoke.
GR I have been away for a while but I do remember you mentioning the super chuffer before. Does it work with the current smoke unit? It is a TMCC conversion, Thanks.
If it's a fan driven smoke unit, which I assume it is, that's one of the primary target audiences. I've attached the documentation for the two products so you can see what it takes to install. I also attached a sample wiring diagram for a typical installation.
