I asked a friend about upgrade kits a week or so ago and was told they will not be available for a couple of months 3-4. You could call MTH or search their web site for more info.

What engine are you looking to upgrade. Is it steam or diesel. If A-B-A is the trailing A unit powered. They are not making PS-3 kits yet though there has been a large request for them. Someone Mentioned maybe after the next round of PS-2 kits are built.
If you want to do it yourself call MTH as soon as possible to get your order in. They are $179.95 unless you are an MTH Club member then they are $149.95.
If you do it yourself there is no warrenty. If the board is bad or you short it out you will be out of luck.
