In 1968, the Long Island Railroad added 8 more Alco C420 diesels to the 22 it already had on lease from Alco. These engines were numbered 222-229. They were different from the previous versions in gearing and the fact they now sported high adhesion trucks as seen below.

It always bothered me the Lionel versions of these engines had the regular AAR type B trucks and not the high adhesion ones, so I got a friend of mine to design and 3d print correct ones that simply swap out with the trucks that come with on the model using the same screws.

These are going to be put up on shapeways soon so anyone interested will be able to purchase 3D prints, I'll update the thread when they're up. It's a small detail but it makes these engines look much more true to the prototype. Keep in mind only the C420s numbered 222-229 had these, the trucks that come with the model are accurate for 200-221.
