Money and time spent on layout, engines, rolling stock and new ZW-L?  Don't ask!.  Watching the visiting grandkids play with it - PRICELESS.

By the way - the new Lionel Thomas the Tank Engine w/dedicated remote is worth EVERY penny - as is the ZW-L - great products.  Go getcha some!

I agree completely.  but are among the best new products Lionel has introduced - ever!

My three-year old grandson took perhaps five seconds to figure out the Thomas remote and was glued to it the entire Christmas season - except when his older sister wanted to play with it.

The ZW-LK is a fantastic power unit.  I was very pleased with the Z4K I had before it but I love the way it runs locos, particularly Legacy and newer (can motor) conventional Lionel locos so very slowly.  Also love the big glowing blue LIONEL on it!

Stewart,
You nailed it! The thing that made the pre and postwar catalogs so special was the people sharing the train experience. Somewhere along the line Lionel has lost sight that it is not only the trains, but the people that make this a great hobby.

Great layout!

Regards,
Randall
