I Googled him and an old website did come up, here. I checked the vendor list for the Amherst train show, that he use to attend, and he is not listed.

Dave of Crescent Loco works used to attend Amherst but had a bad experience he told me at one of the halls with an Amherst official so as a result he no longer will attend. Plus the snow and travel time to Amherst from Georgia just was not worth the trip for him.  To bad as I am a buyer of his works. I purchased a wooden coaling tower from him & its top shelf and very affordable pre-built model.  Took 8-10 weeks to get arrive to my home. Dave attends York or call him via his website. He will do custom work too.

Thanks for the idea. I'm particularly interested in his depots/stations. Thank you, too, for the phone number.

Jim;

Dave makes some very nice products. I purchased one of his O-72 curved stations/platforms - Dave says he can do custom curves. It is designed to sit outboard of the track. As an earlier poster pointed out, it does take a while to get the finished products (I believe everything is made to order), and unfortunately, my layout design changed significantly between placing my order and receiving my station, so I had to adapt things a bit to have it sit inboard of the track. Dave offered to change out the bases, but I kind of like the way it looks. I think you will be very pleased with his work

I had trouble with Dave's website also.    My security is also Avast.    Dave says it is the only security software that has an issue.     However, I am very cautious.    I spent a small fortune getting a new computer and getting my computer cleaned up a little over a year ago because I was hacked twice within 6 months.   I also lost some personal files.       So I think if Avast says the site is infected, I am going to be cautious, I don't want to go through that pain and suffering again.

On a brighter note, I called Dave at the number listed and arranged an order and it was no problem.   It does take a few weeks to a few months to get your order because he has to build it.    He gives you an estimate of delivery and will update that as necessary.

I got an ashpit hoist and had the base custom made to fit my 2 rail very low profile track work.    It was great and Dave was great to work with.    As of December 2016, he was very much in business.

Thanks, Paul, for the picture. I definitely have a place for the curved station platform. I'll give Dave a call. Like PRRJim, I'm cautious about ignoring Avast and I don't want to put someone else's computer at risk (like my wife's).

I appreciate everyone's help. It's good to know that CLW is still in business.

Crescent offers a limited selection of structures but all are top notch products at an affordable price. Dave's coaling and water towers are excellent.  Well made, scaled correctly, very realistic and artistically done. His website works on this laptop and Kaspersky had no problem with it.

Dave's selection isn't as limited as his website suggests. At York last April, he had an impressive display of items, most of which are not on his website. I ordered this switch tower. It is very detailed, even to the point of having moving switch handles. Took a while to arrive, but worth the wait.

He's not the only one who's had issues with Amherst officials.  I can tell a few stories but I wont   I don't do York anymore and it's sad He wont do Amherst show anymore but under the circumstances totally understandable .  Just have to call him for now on.

Yes Gary I called him last year or the year before when I did not see Dave on the Amherst exhibitior list.  Bummer he doesnt do Amherst anymore!

York, far from NH. It's not so much the distance but it's  York TCA odd late  weekday schedule and hours that don't work.  I have a very busy work and family schedule.

Hi Jim, If you are using Avast antivirus has an issue with the sight. I would bet most of the people that have an issue are using Avast. The sight is not infected there are no hidden viruses, If you use a different computer with out Avast you should not have any issue. Avast users can change the settings to allow my website as an exception.  If anyone is using a different antivirus and having issues, please let me know. I have made some changes over the past few days so you may want to try it again.

As for Amherst, It has become far too expensive to ship inventory up and then fly myself there. The harsh winters over the past few years don't help either.  Being  I'm from Rhode Island, I did move south to get away from that. Fortunately most of you do come to York and catch up there.
