On September 1, my wife and I flew back to Boston from our home in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Our son has lived back there for the last year and a half.  He is a techie for Oracle.  Now, he has been transferred back to Oracle's HQ in Redwood City, CA. When Anthony was originally transferred to Boston, we drove out there with him in his car.  We took a route thru the northern states.  This time we went thru the southern states...to bring him home. So...we loaded our son's worldly possessions (he sold all of his furniture, dishes, etc.) in his car and took a road trip across this great country of ours...again.  We left Boston and went to New York City.  From there we drove to Washington DC and visited our daugher and son-in-law who live there. From there we drove to Nashville, TN.  Our next stop was Dallas, Tx, and from there to Albuquerque, NM. In between, we went to Oklahoma City, OK, and Amarillo, TX.  Next, we went to the Grand Canyon in Arizona and then Zion National Park in Utah.  Our final stop was Las Vegas (my wife won a $200 jackpot on the penny slots!).  From there we drove home to Brisbane, CA...all in 9 days.  As we drove along I tried to do some railfanning...whenever I saw a train.  Unfortunately, most of the time, I couldn't stop...and I took most these train photos from our moving car...so some are not as clear.  They are here to share.  Enjoy!

Yup, Spence, it was actually only 7 days that we did all the driving.  We took the first two days and toured around Boston because our son had to work one more day at the Boston office.  It felt so good to lay our heads down in our own bed!
