Is there a difference in the Cruise M boards for Diesel or Steamer or it just some different wiring harnesses included?

That's an interesting question. I know the new steamer boards have full compatibility with the wireless tether, some of the earlier boards needed an extra circuit to use the IR tether. I believe that ERR is trying to merge them into a single unit that's compatible with all. I believe the Odyssey model is just different cables, it's the same CC-M board.
That's what I was thinking. Just thinking of ordering the all steamer CRCMDR-M kit. Good for all.
Maybe.
I'd check with Ken at ERR, but he told me the goal was a single board and they were just selling off the stock that didn't support the IR tether.
The old steam board needed another wire to send over serial data if you wanted confirmation sounds of Cruise changes. The newer board is coded to do it now. Of course which board you get if you order?? G
Ken at ERR told me they were trying to standardize on the latest board for all configurations. The difference now is the one that's marked for "All Steam" will properly drive the IR tether, the older one needed a little circuit to help it.
