O scale 60 scale foot 10-axle heavy duty flatcar

This heavy duty flatcar model is 60 scale feet in length and has 10 axles which make it very stable. Each of the trucks is specially mounted so that the car can easily negotiate tight curves. Each truck bolster is articulated which allows side to side movement of each truck allowing use of the car on small radius curves and turnouts.

The model is shown with oversize loads which would require special handling when operated on prototype railroad tracks. Also shown are views of the articulated truck bolsters.

Here is the same flatcar that has been modified as a 6 axle model. The trucks are RailKing 3 axle freight trucks.

Here is a photo of the underside for this car. Each truck can move side to side which allows for operation on small radius curves.
