Modeling the Seaboard Air Line I’ve had to repaint just about everything I have to make it right. A few years ago I repainted a bunch of PS-1 boxcars and had decals made by Jerry Glow, Tichy now owns that line of decals.
I’ll post some photos later, gotta go eat breakfast with my new grandson!

I can only find southern decals on eBay an they are old an out of print! Where can I get some?

I'll take "southern" to mean both the RR and the region.
I do southern railroads also, as I live here, for one reason. I have found many good decals on eBay, and most are not "old". Microscale offers various road names. Their O-line is shrinking, but it's still there.
Try searching for "O scale decals" and "custom decals".

Weaver used to make some really nice hoppers. Here's one I repainted for SAL:
My favorite was building this SAL Whalebelly Hopper from a 50' Weaver car:
Here's a SAL low-side gondola, built from a MTH car:
And one of several PS1 boxcars repainted for SAL:
Almost forgot...here's a double-door (opposing ends) boxcar that SAL owned:
This was built using a model of the ACL car behind it in the photo.
With the doors open:
Still looking for a pair of Dalman trucks to replace the old Keil Line trucks under it.
Seaboard Air Line had some unusual equipment, most which will never see the light of day if we wait on the manufacturers to come thru. I figured I'd take it upon myself to make a few for my RR.
Now if one of them would offer THIS car I'd be most happy:
Unfortunately, none of the O-scale makers have done a true SAL round-roof car yet. Has been done in S-scale though!

Hey MWB- Love that milk reefer
Nice thread idea, Marcuss! The photo gallery below takes you through the entire assembling, detailing, painting, lettering & weathering process of a 5-car Weaver 40' PS-1 boxcar project that I completed last year.
As you can see, I turned 5 undecorated cars into two D&H, two CNJ and one DL&W. Several brands of paint were used in the process, but only one source for all lettering...dry transfers from CDS. It was a tedious and time-consuming project, but the results were rewarding!
