Holiday Season Special Charity Events
 
We invite and encourage you to participate in the following Holiday Season Special Events in your area.  What better way to start your holiday season off then to share them with fellow LCCA club members and friends, running Lionel trains, having fun and best of all, helping out worthwhile and charitable organizations such as the Ronald McDonald house and/or the  "Frisco Family Services Food Pantry".   Go to our Special Events tab on the front page of our website www.lionelcollectors.org  for more detailed information about these and other  special events.  Bring your friends, kids  and family members.  We hope to see you there!
 
December 9, 2012 LCCA /TW Design Special  Charity Event - NorthPark Mall in Dallas, TX
 
This is a friendly reminder about the Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) and TW Design of Dallas TX holiday season LCCA/TW Design Special Charity Event to be held this Sunday Evening 6:30 PM-10:00 PM CST, December 9, 2012 at the NorthPark Mall in Dallas, TX.  Club members and their families, as well as guests of TW TrainWorx will have an opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at an extraordinary operating toy train layout and display, meet with TW Design's Roger Farkash and his team of Traingineers.  A $10/adult & $5/child (under 18 - max $25/Family) donation for admission will be collected at the door.  Proceeds from the evening's event, admission fee, other donations, and door prizes containing great Lionel and LCCA commemorative products will be donated to benefit the Dallas Ronald McDonald House in Dallas TX.  The Ronald McDonald House provides a home-away from home for those families whose child is in the hospital receiving much needed care for their serious illness.
 
The massive toy train layout depicting various scenes and famous landmarks from all across America was designed and built by TW TrainWorx of Dallas TX.  This layout features nearly 2,000 feet of track on 22 loops as well as dozens of animations through a presentation of a miniature journey across our great and beautiful country.  To see video from our event last year, go to the video link below:
 
 
Spread the word, bring your friends and families to this Lionel train filled event.  For only $10/person, enjoy the holiday season and experience the magic of Lionel trains while supporting a worthwhile cause, the local Ronald McDonald House.  Meet with fellow LCCA members, Roger and Dorcie Farkash, and the Traingineers at TrainWorx who created this impressive layout and display.
 
Bring the entire family, we are certain all who attend will be entertained and impressed, but, most of all, you will have FUN!

Dallas, Texas on 12-15-12 - Trains at Woody's Home
 
 
On Saturday, December 15, 2012 RM 24370, Woody Hickman and his wife Madeline invite LCCA members to attend their annual open house holiday season party from 7:00 PM until the food and beverages are gone.  Bring a non-perishable food item with you and it will be donated to support the "Frisco Family Services Food Pantry."  Woody and Madeline have Christmas decorations in every room of their home.  They have a vast collection of Angela Trotta Thomas's artwork including a full size window backdrop scene from Angela and Bob Thomas's previous home layout.  Come and watch the trains running on Woody's home layout and have good food, good fun and good holiday cheer with fellow members.  Thank you Woody and Madeline for inviting fellow members into your home for a worthwhile cause.  For directions and to reserve your spot, please contact Woody Hickman at woodyhickman@tx.rr.com or by phone at 972-239-2323 or Al Kolis at 248-709-4137 agkolis@comcast.net
