I'm pulling two MTH Aux Tenders, a non-powered diesel and 7 Lionel 21" passenger cars. After a couple minutes I loose the consist after the tender. Both couplers are still closed. Any ideas?

Any certain spot it comes apart? Change in elevation or a switch?
Seems random. I don't have any elevation changes. Just a big oval loop. Only switches are a 4-switch crossover and it hasn't happened there yet.
Welp, based on that, I would guess it has something to do with the coupler itself. I had an elevation change that one of my locomotives didn't like. I currently have a switch that occasionally uncouples locomotives. I just haven't made an effort to fix it yet.
Unfortunately, I have zero knowledge when it comes to taking these couplers apart. Sorry I can't help.
I flipped the first aux tender around so the electro coupler is facing to the rear. So far no more uncoupling. Should have tried some obvious stuff first before posting, but it seemed weird since it had not happened before.

I'm curious as to what you have here. My aux tender has electrocouplers on both ends.
