I am getting ready to start building and elevated a loop mounted to the wall around my train room in the barn. I am looking to see how others supported the roadbed and attach to the wall.
The ceiling is too high to suspend the track from it. So I need to use something like an "L" bracket to come off the wall. I want to go two tracks wide (no switches or crossovers) and a probably O60 and O72 Fastrack

Shelf support brackets.
Just go to home depot or lowes and buy the longest ones that wont overhang the end of the shelf.
I second the shelf brackets, I've seen a couple ceiling installations with them. You can get them in a zillion styles and sizes.
Guess I was over thinking that. Added bonus girlfriend is a supervisor at lowes.. 10% off.
Make sure you have a good stud finder and screws to support your brackets
