I have a MTH PS2 DAP ABA F3 boxed set (20-80004a) that has sound issues (mostly cracking and low volume). Seems to have the sound file intact. All of the sounds appear to be there, but are barely heard or of poor quality when they are. I have read on this forum that this is likely because of the speaker and possibly a blown amplifier. The question is can I/should I upgrade to PS3, or should I just find a replacement speaker and hope for the best? I'm running DCS with TIU rev. L.
These engines are great runners. With 4 motors running at the same time, I could probably drag a billy goat up the side of the Empire State building with this set. I'd like to get the set up to its full potential. Thoughts??
