darstaed trains

I placed a order early December for two wagons and got them in a week. I just ordered another one (BASS) and should get it soon. I got this one and the other two off ebay. The trouble with Hoover trains is, you cannot contact John Hoover except for ebay. His email does not work as I have tried ita lot to contact him.

I have spoke with John through email before but it takes days between replies. I am sure he is a very busy guy. The vans he had in stock for a long time but he was at the TCA York show taking orders back in October 2011. We were suppose to have the orders ship by Thanksgiving but there was flooding were the factory is located so everything got pushed. I have two engines and a set of coaches on order. John had to receive, test and ship all the orders, so it takes time but as a customer who put up $1,800.00 it is tough to be patient. Don't mean to drag out this thread, just excited to get my new trains and wanted to see if anyone received an order. I ordered from cat pictures so I really want to see the real thing. John is a great guy just think he is so busy right now but I want my stuff. Take care.

Which Darstaed loco and stock have you ordered from John? I can't comment about delivery times and contact with John, but if it helps, from the UK I can possibly help with images of what you are waiting for.

Thanks Dave. I heard from John last night and my order was shipped yesterday so I should get it soon. I ordered an A3 loco, 262 C&R loco with matching coaches. Can't wait to receive them and run them. I had purchased a set of Pullman coaches from John before and they are beautiful. That was my first Darstaed purchase. Thanks again, take care. Frank
