Hello Everyone,

I wanted to show some of  the DBI rolling stock I customized.   The Loco and rolling stock are Lionel with some used (bought on the Bay) and some new.   I applied vinyl letters and numbers made by one of my daughters on a Cricut machine she uses for teaching 2nd grade in Texas.  I am pleased with the results.  DSC_0306DSC_0306DSC_0307DSC_0308

  • DSC_0306: I was looking for a unique color to use for the DBI and this light bluish color is what I used on some wooden trains I made and sold at the 2019 Fair.

Good Day Dan,

You've accomplished what few of us experience. You've created something you're satisfied with! Your concept reminds me of a 9 mile stretch of track through south Omaha called Nebrail. The UP leases trackage rights to get through the Stockyards. Every so often, Nebrail tries to jack up the price of their lease, and UP reminds them that they are UP, and would pay millions to build around them.

Anyhow, I enjoyed your photos and I think you have a really cool concept. Nice work on the custom cars as well.

Thanks BobRoyals for your kind words.  I am at an age where I choose to be happy and satisfied because this allows me to enjoy my train hobby much more than the alternative.  LOL   I had 3 previous N Scale and one HO Scale layout that I was always trying to improve one aspect or another, and consequently, never reached a point to actually run trains on any of these layouts.   Maybe I am older and wiser now or just do not have the energy to continue making changes.

Thank you John A.  I enjoyed creating my own railroad.   I will be expanding my layout soon(more Clearing The Right of Way) and will model an interchange track and small yard that will be home to the DB Interchange Railroad.  If you want to check out how far I have come, check the Clearing The Right of Way post back in January this year.
