Is it Lionel's intent to put DCC in all future Flyer locomotive offerings?

I would hope so. Only Jon can truly answer that question.

I would guess so. I think it may have been the MTH announcement that their S engines will run in conventional mode, DCS (MTH's proprietary command system now with ProtoSounds 3), and DCC which prompted Lionel to start building Flyer engines to run with DCC as well.
My guess is only Flyonel engines with Legacy will be DCC enabled or run on DC. They are about to ship the Defender set with the Jeep they promissed in 2010 and in its instruction manual I got online it says no DC operation. Their traditional Flyer line will be as in the past.
