The Android version of the app updated last week. On Friday, I think. Regardless, I see from the post above and on Google Play Console (developer site) the version didn't get updated. I think this is just a textual change as the app is the correct and current version 3.0.1 build 47. We'll get the Play Store updated and thanks for pointing it out.
The Android update primarily deals with a bug where DCS lash ups could not be started up. This same bug prevented TMCC/Legacy engine start ups. Those issues are fixed. The bug occurred when the Explorer app was created. We had to do some things so the app can recognize an Explorer vs. WIU and behave accordingly. These changes caused the bug. We squashed it. It's dead.
We also released an update to the iOS app but, not much new for WIU users. On the Explorer side, we found a couple of things that would make the app more stable and reliable when connecting to the Explorer. We wanted to get those updates out quickly as people are beginning to run the train sets that include it.
You may know this but, if you hold your finger directly on the version number in the iOS app for about 6-8 seconds, the build number will appear. Different from iOS, when the revision is rolled, as it was this time to 3.0.1, the build numbers have to restart. So, the latest iOS app is v3.0.1 build 1.
With regard to updates to the content of the apps for WIU users, that is some UI improvements, Legacy issues, etc., we're defining those boundaries and will be getting something out probably in the next 6 weeks. Maybe sooner depending upon holiday schedules.
