I honestly want to help but not enough info.

#1 what power supply are you powering and how is it connected?

#2 How is your track connected- polarity matters for PS2 engines

#3 What exact engine are you trying to run (MTH product number example 30-xxxxx-1 or 20-xxxxx-1 or whatever it is).

What command were you attempting and then got an error message? What is the exact error message?

Have you read the manual? https://mthtrains.com/50-1028    https://mthtrains.com/sites/de...ction/50as17834i.pdf

Again, here is the issue- I don't even know what train you are attempting or what process example adding an engine- you were trying to perform. I don't know if you had power to the track, was the polarity correct, what engine are we attempting to run, what scale is this?

OBTW- this was really more for HO and maybe G scale, and while it can be used for O scale, many of the features more align with HO being honest- as well as the current Amps limitations. Not to mention, this device was long ago discontinued, the firmware hasn't been updated or features added for a long time, this device kind of represents a dead end path in the DCS. I'm not saying it's junk or worthless, it most certainly has it's place and yes, I own one of these. But- as your first experience for DCS- buying the oldest possible version of the control system- might not have been the best path.

Again, I get it, we all are waiting on the new WTIU, until then, the limited options on the market and pricing for DCS is a problem.

Anyway- please, explain your total setup, in hopes we can get you past this and running a train.
